Coq au Vin is the new Welsh trash-rock dance floor filler by outsider pop legend (to be) David Mysterious.

Based on an ill-fated night out in Cardiff's Clwb Ifor Bach, where David's encyclopaedic knowledge of traditional French cookery swiftly extinguished, what could have been, a perfectly adequate night of passion.

The single is accompanied by a sound homage to 18th century sailors' folklore ( Y Cracen ) and a surf instrumental with a Viking backbeat ( Valhalla Surf ). It signals the triumphant return of David Mysterious ahead of his climactic comeback album, Die Auferstehung, due out on north of chepstow records in Winter 2015.

Coq au Vin ydi'r trac newydd Cymraeg gan y gŵr sydd wastad ar gyrion cerddoriaeth David Mysterious.

Wedi ei seilio ar noson allan anffodus yng Nghlwb Ifor Bach, Caerdydd, lle y gwnaeth gwybodaeth anhygoel David o goginio Ffrengig traddodiadol ddiffodd yn sydyn be fuasai wedi gallu bod yn noson hollol gyffredin o angerdd.

Mae'r sengl hefyd yn cynnwys teyrnged sain i chwedlau morwyr o'r ddeunawfed ganrif ( Y Cracen ) a darn offerynnol syrffio gyda churiad cefndir Llychlyniadd ( Valhalla Surf ).
